Books

To fully comprehend the religion of Asatru (if that is even completely possible), countless hours of study are required.  However, since so much of what we do is based upon ancient texts and lore - most of which had to be translated or interpreted my modern scholars working for small publishers - that finding source material at your local bookstore or from online distributors such as Amazon can be difficult, time consuming, and quite expensive.  Nevertheless, finding and reading these books are important if you are to understand the religion, its customs and the rites and rituals in which you participate as an Asatruar.

To help our members in this endeavor, we have compiled a list of links to online books dealing with subject matter important to our religion.  Though these works contain a lot of useful information and will greatly aid in your education, we still feel that "real" books are a better investment.  There are many other great books that aren't transcribed online.  The links below are simply ones we could find on the world wide web and these online works should be used mainly as a supplement.  You never know how long their web pages will be active!
